Royal Ocean Marine, a leading maritime /logistic/ engineering company that specialised in recruitment for our clients is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join our team. As the Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all operations and activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner. You will work closely with our management and staff to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures. Your role will also involve conducting regular safety inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and risks, and recommending improvements to promote a safer work environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and implement safety programs and training for employees at all levels Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their root cause and recommend corrective actions Work closely with management and staff to ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed at all times Monitor and maintain safety records and reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date Drive continuous improvement of safety performance through analysis of safety data and development of targeted improvement plans Requirements Experience in a safety role in the safety-related industry Diploma /Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Occupational Health and Safety, Marine Science, Engineering, Nebosh) Knowledge of applicable industry regulations and standards such as OSHA, IMO, SOLAS, ISO 9001/14001/45001.
