Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Information Technology Business Analyst to work in our Information Technology (IT) department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Administration Building in Idaho Falls, Idaho with every other Friday off. Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position. You will report to the Business Analyst Team Lead and you will bridge the gap between IT execution and needs. Responsibilities include analyzing, validating, researching, benchmarking, and documenting business, technical, functional, and regulatory system requirements to enable people and processes across the Laboratory. Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with IT Project Managers and Project Sponsors to determine project scope, vision, objectives and partners.
  • Conduct interviews to gather customer/end-user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, on-site visits, workflow storyboards, use-cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Create project artifacts to support the analysis and business case; Artifacts include process models/RACI, system specifications, workflows/diagrams, and evaluation summaries.Evaluate needs to develop IT project requirements.
  • Analyze and document business processes. Value stream mapping and process improvement.
  • Translate requirements to functional and technical requirements.
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in business, Marketing, or Communications plus 5 years relevant experience.
  • Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
  • Relevant Experience: Business analyst or project management experience including understanding and capturing business, functional and technical requirements.
  • Business process modeling including value stream mapping and process improvement.
  • Experienced in business analyst or project management best practice/procedures.
  • Must have broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in enterprise systems, plus working knowledge of business processes in related fields (e.g. financial accounting, human resources, supply chain, and work management).
  • Experience in customer service, along prior account management, business management / ownership, experience supporting a broad technical user base.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
  • ITIL, PMI, IIBA training or certifications
