Position Overview:Wheeling University is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Graduate Admissions Counselor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in recruiting and enrolling graduate students who are seeking to further their education and advance their careers. As a Graduate Admissions Counselor, you will engage with prospective students, provide them with guidance throughout the admissions process, and serve as an advocate for Wheeling University's graduate programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective graduate students.
- Ability to Travel and remain off-site periodically.
- Review and evaluate graduate applications, transcripts, and other relevant documents.
- Conduct informational sessions, campus tours, and outreach events to promote graduate programs.
- Build relationships with prospective students, providing them with personalized guidance and support.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a seamless admissions process for graduate students.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and communication strategies targeted at graduate students.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in graduate admissions and higher education.
- Assist the undergraduate admissions staff as needed.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events.
QualificationsQualifications:- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for higher education and helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Knowledge of graduate admissions processes and procedures is a plus.
- Valid Drivers Licens
