Five Star Distributing is a team of professionals working together to sell and distribute the finest beer brands in Northeast Indiana. We are currently seeking a qualified Picker to work directly with our Warehouse Team in Columbia City, Indiana. Qualified candidates must have strong work ethic, excellent communications skills and the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma/GED with ability to compute basic math functions
Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal background check
Must be committed to the responsible use of alcohol and understand and adhere to local and federal alcohol related laws
Must be able to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures
Thinking & acting with suppliers, customers, and communities with the Core Values of Passion, Respect, Integrity, Commitment, and Excelling
Serving as a role model by embracing and adhering to our Mission Statement as a means to serve and promote teamwork, cooperation and understanding
Adherence to OSHA safety standards & company safety policies and procedures
Available as requested for weekends/holidays
Ability to locate products by bar code, package description or Voice to Pick system
Compute basic math without a calculator
Operate the pallet jack and all appropriate equipment with skill, and according to OSHA company rules & regulations
Meet the minimum productivity requirements
Assist with keg staging in cooler as needed
Stacks products on pallets according to product size, shape and strength, and appropriate numbers per layer to ensure stability, product visibility, and accuracy
May replenish product pick spot from back stock areas by moving products to the front of the warehouse and placing in designated locations; may stack pick spot according to required heights based on seasonal needs
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk for an extended period of time; talk, hear, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach, bend, twist, turn, squat, and carry on a repetitive basis. This employee must have the ability to lift 160 lbs. from ground level; ability to pull 2100 lbs. with the use of a pallet jack; ability to push 250 lbs. with the use of a two wheel hand card. Ability to lift 30 lbs. overhead level.
