Job Details
**Purpose:**
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the safe, accurate, and expeditious replenishment of product in the warehouse.
**Duties:**
Breaking down and replenishing product in pick slots
Control rotation of product using first in/first out method
Assist in receiving of product when necessary
Assist in order selection when necessary
Keep work areas clean and organized
Crush corrugate daily
Must be safety / security conscious, adhere to guidelines in the safety manual, and report any accidents or incidents to the manager immediately
Be knowledgeable and follow company policy procedures
Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned
**Skills / Qualifications**
A solid understanding of warehouse distribution procedures processes. The person will on occasion operate various types of warehouse equipment such as stand-up forklifts, riding pallet jack, hand carts, and cardboard bailing machine. Must have the ability to multitask, plan, and forecast production requirements. Being self-motivated and having strong attention to detail are essential traits. Must be available for possible rotating shifts (including nights and weekends) and holidays.
**Physical Requirements:**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Environmental conditions include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor exposure from cleaning chemicals. Must be able to stand for up to 8-12 hours.
