About the Employer
San Gabriel Valley Regional Occupational Program (also known as SGVROP) was originally founded in 1970 as a Joint Powers Agency. The ROP provides high school students with industry required technical skills for high demand jobs. SGVROP is accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).
Career Technical Education (CTE) classes are offered in a multitude of Career Pathways at the high school sites within six member school districts (Azusa, Baldwin Park, Charter Oak, Glendora, San Gabriel, and Walnut). Most ROP classes include simulated hands-on learning opportunities at a local business in the community. We welcome highly qualified, skilled professionals to join our committed and dedicated staff in providing all students with the highest quality academic and technical skills necessary to become successful.
Job Summary
Provide students with the technical skills in Industrial Design and Engineering through use of computer aided drafting and design (CADD) software to create an architectural or mechanical design meeting industry standards to support architects and engineers in the development of plans for buildings or other structures while complying with a variety of building codes and zoning laws, staying within cost limitations, and satisfying client preferences.
Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS California teaching credential with proper authorization or verifiable industry experience to meet requirements for a Career Technical Education (CTE) teaching credential

CTE CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the CTE credential, one must have a minimum of three (3) years verifiable industry work experience. Up to 48 semester units of related college course work can substitute up to two (2) years of work experience.
