PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site to support various R&D and engineering tasks related to materials development at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division.Duties include, but not limited to: Evaluation of material properties and characteristics for maritime applicationPerform physical testing of variety of polymer materials productsCollect test data and maintain databaseSupport shipboard installation and testingPrepare and review documentations.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Tech or vocational school or equivalent2-3 years of related job experience is desiredSKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge in material evaluation processAbility to support industrial laboratory and hardwareAbility to maintain and upkeep test equipmentAbility to travel and work in shipyard environmentExperienced with MS Office skillsStrong proficiency inoral and written communication skills.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.
