St Cajetan School, located in the Morgan Park/ Beverly area, is looking for a part-time or full-time counselor who is willing to collaborate with others, create a family environment in their room, and be willing to learn and grow as an educator. You would be joining a group of dedicated professionals who take a team approach to all endeavors. Experience in working with Social Emotional Learning curriculums is preferred. Qualifications Holds valid School Counselor license in Illinois Bachelor s Degree Reports to: Principal and/or Leadership Team Responsibilities: Provide weekly lessons for PK-5 students on social emotional learning topics Creates comprehensive school counselor program specific to Catholic school education Work with students on social emotional and academic areas of concern in small groups and individual settings Provide professional expertise with the teachers and staff to support students Consults with outside counselor agencies to create whole student approach Works with the staff in determining the needs of the students Advises teachers on the social, emotional, and career development of each grade level student Tracks counselor data such as social emotional needs, number of meetings per grade, and/or any other information that assist in student development Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Bonus/Commission: Yes
