**Description**
We are currently hiring Distribution Center (DC) Associates for our Ontario, CA distribution center to join us in helping people having fun. We also have fun at work. The DC Associate position is responsible for timely, safe, and accurate movement of product throughout the full distribution life cycle, beginning with receipt of product and ending ultimately with the shipment of the product to our customers. ****We are now starting new DC associates at $18/hour**
Our Distribution Center is looking to add associates who can work either full-time or part-time with the following schedules:
**Full-Time** - five days a week (approximately 40 hours a week):
*Sunday through Thursday* with a start time of 1:00 PM until the end of shift (both start and end time varies).
**Part-Time** - three days a week (approximately 24 hours per week):
*Sunday through Tuesday* with a start time of 1:00 PM until the end of shift (both start and end time varies).
We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and abilities:
* Ability to properly handle the systemic and physical movement of product into carts, tables, or other locations via RF scanner.
* Ability to operate industrial trucks (ex. stand-up and sit-down forklift and reach truck).
* Ability to meet productivity expectations in all departmental tasks once fully trained.
* Ability to engage as a Horizon DC Associate that focuses on maintaining high standards of service, productivity and satisfaction for both internal and external customers as outlined under Horizon Hobbys Core Values and Basics.
* Maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment.
* Work in a safe manner.
* Ability to work in hot and cold environments (Distribution Center is not temperature controlled)
* Ability to work standing and/or walking on cement floor for up to 12 hours per day.
* Ability to lift and carry boxes of up to 40 pounds on occasion for short distances.
* Assist in other departments when necessary or as business needs dictate.
* Ability to read, understand and communicate English numbers, letters and words.
* Dispose of boxes and trash in the approved manner.
**Work Experience:**
* Minimum of 6 months working in a distribution center preferred.
