Job Function

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Production Operator will be based out of Cleveland and will be responsible for performing the various tasks involved in the making of the products produced by Vibrantz.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance of production operations assigned and adjust operating conditions within allowable limits, as needed to achieve performance standards.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment in the area assigned according to current procedures and practices.
  • Report processing and equipment problems to management.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained, within their ability to control, and insure properly obtained samples are gathered as required.
  • Be constantly on the alert for safety hazards and report any found to management.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by management or Team Leader.
  • Participate in area work teams, as necessary.
  • Wear all required PPE and observe all safety regulations. Complies with safety rules and regulations, attends safety meetings and training, inspects work area for hazards/deficiencies and initiates action to correct them. Also, reports injury/illness and/or environmental incidents.
  • On time for shift start, scheduled training, and meetings.
  • Maintains high level of organization and cleanliness in all work areas.

  • Attention to detail. Ability to learn and perform job functions to quality and time standards.
  • Able to follow instructions and communicate difficulties immediately.
  • Operate the following equipment: Mixer and Blenders (Non-Lead, Bismuth, and/or Lead), Crucible Melters, Continuous Melters, Batch Mills (Dry, Water, and/or Solvent), Continuous Mill, Hammer Mill, Dryers, Screening Equipment, Forklift, Walk-behind, Pallet Jacks
  • Ensures timely, accurate, and complete recording all required transactional data.
  • Participates in scheduled physical counts of inventory.
  • Other temporary assignments, duties, or projects as required.
  • Work requires scooping and/or shoveling product as directed.
  • Other duties as required.


Required Experience

  • High school diploma preferred or GED equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment also preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English.
  • Basic math skills. Able to perform simple math calculations.
  • A strong sense of self-motivation and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions/work orders.
