**Shipper/Receiver/Packer**
**SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Prepare and package switches for shipment according to procedures to ensure safe and timely shipment.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Weigh, measure, package, match packaging slips, label and ship company products according to standard procedures by selecting type of packing to protect materials and prevent damage during shipment.
Prepare necessary documents for the shipment of materials.
Match orders with proper certificate of compliance.
Interface with Sales Department to change method of shipping.
Contact accounting for credit ratings.
Call U.S. Postal Office for prices of parcel post orders being shipped out of the Country.
Perform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
**SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Sign for incoming packages.
Organize and check transaction reports.
May perform the responsibilities of the Packager/Material Handler when required.
**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:**
This position requires a level of knowledge associated with a High school diploma plus one year to three years of experience in shipping, packaging, or receiving. Experience working with UPS, Federal Express and other shipping companies.
**TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:**
* General Safety
* Quality system awareness
* Personal Protective Equipment
* Fork / electric pallet jack certification
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
* Required to sit, stand, bend, and lift over 60 lbs.

* Combination of Manufacturing and Office environment
* Fast pace and must multitask in an organized manner with always safety in mind.
* Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and odors
