**Description**

The **Inventory Analyst** is accountable for the supporting the management of all inventory levels including the initial acquisition, determination of appropriate depth to meet sales and in stocks, all rebalance activities, seasonal builds, sell downs and returns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

**Financial Planning**

* Budget Planning/Forecasting - Participate in the Annual inventory budgeting process ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and transparency; ensure inventory replenishment team inclusion in planning, forecasting and purchasing plans and activities. This is currently dependent on MH Planning being installed and/or the creation of planning spreadsheets in Excel

* Monitor Inventory budgeted metrics, highlighting areas of risk with solution options

* Manage inventories to achieve the plan sales, in-stock, turnover, and financial strategies

**In Stocks and Order Fill**

* Drive increased In-stock % and inventory turn through forecast accuracy and improved use of MH DFIO

* Drive increased in stocks by partnering with vendors to ensure on time deliveries and high order fill by providing forecasts, advising on deviations from forecasts, and maintaining a strong working relationship

* Work closely with Inventory Analysts to identify opportunities to drive stronger in stocks and options/next steps required to achieve these targets

* Complete analysis necessary to identify overstocks and transfer back to DCs

* Drive improved in stocks by working closely with Merchants and Sales to successfully launch new product lines and ensure strong availability

**Promotion Management**

* Partner with Merchant team in accurately forecasting sales and inventory order needs for promotions

* Approve promotional forecasts and corresponding inventory purchases

**System Management**

* Optimize system parameters within Manhattan based on rate of sales, lead times, and order frequency to ensure meeting our inventory levels and in stock goals

* Effectively manage the seasonal profiling process, ensuring accurate representation of items and demand patterns

* Work closely with Inventory Analyst to maximize the use of Manhattan and improve efficiencies

**Partner with Organization**

* Ensure appropriate DC product availability resulting in consistent flow of inventory to Distribution Centers

* Identify and communicate inventory changes to Transportation and Operations teams

* Work collaboratively to increase Inventory and DC efficiencies (reducing DC Inventory $ WOS and DC Labor $ where possible)

* Partner with Merchant leadership to continuously improve vendor performance results in the areas of on time delivery, overall cost reduction, and order fill accuracy

* Proactively and effectively seek input and feedback from internal and external partners in the course of resolving issues, as well as identifying and deploying Inventory Replenishment initiative improvements

* Effectively share clear, concise, accurate information that caters to the levels of detail needed by recipients

* Partner with vendor and field to process returns as efficiently and accurately as possible maximizing our return allowances. Ensure visibility to areas of risk as well as risk mitigation alternatives

**Problem Solving Skills**

* Respond to requests for information and changes in approach with the ability to leverage team member skill sets and develop approaches to quickly remediate issues

* In follow up to immediate issue resolution, put in place sustainable systems and process improvements that prevent issue recurrence and improve company results

* Advanced skills with MS Office Products Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Prefer experience with Manhattan DFIO. Complete understanding of the data processes and information flow within forecasting and replenishment systems

* Basic understanding of the supply chain; ability to see the organization as an integrated whole and understanding how each component contributes to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives

* Strong analytical skills required; ability to analyze large volumes of data to develop and communicate findings and recommendations, creating actionable strategies.

* Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules

* Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely and accurate completion of each; outcome-focused and experienced in project management as a means to plan, track, communicate progress and ensure on time delivery of projects.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present information and interact effectively across all levels of the organization; ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across functions to achieve business objectives and drive strategic change; proven track record of establishing strong relationships and experience in leading complex cross-functional teams

REQUIREMENTS :

* Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, Logistics, or Mathematics

* 5-7 years related experience in Inventory Management, including 1-2 years of management experience
