In-Process Inspector
The In-Process Inspector holds responsibility for scrutinizing electronic and mechanical assemblies, printed wiring boards, subassemblies, modules, and completed units. These inspections occur at various production stages to ensure adherence to engineering documentation, quality standards, production requirements, and workmanship standards.
Essential Functions
- Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
- Inspect electronic assemblies and electromechanical parts proficiently.
- Demonstrate familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies (such as PCBAs and modules), and the ability to follow relevant documentation (assembly drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams).
- Be adept in interpreting bills of materials, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, process sheets, and following verbal instructions.
- Utilize small hand tools and various measuring devices, including calipers, multi-meters, etc.
- Complete all necessary inspection checklists and maintain accurate records.
- Offer assistance to receiving inspection for the inspection of raw materials as required.
- Execute job functions promptly while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide hands-on training to coworkers when necessary.
- Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements according to the AMC Quality System.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support manufacturing operations.
Education and Experience - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and procedures written in English.
- Preferably, have five or more years of experience in a similar field.
- Possess a working knowledge of IPC-A-610, with current certification being desirable.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform assigned tasks independently and meet deadlines.
- Have knowledge of electronics assembly processes, including SMT and Through-holes.
