Line Operator III

Rotating Shifts 1st & 2nd Shift.

1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm

2nd shift: 3:30pm - 12am

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Monitor product & focus on quality control to ensure that the products produced meet quality standards.

Observe, monitor, and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity.

Perform all aspects of the job in a safe manner and observing all safety regulations.

Complete equipment pre-shift and post-shift reports.

Report equipment problems to management/maintenance.

Be able to troubleshoot simple and common/ recurring problems independently.

Be able to assist and fix simple and common/ recurring problems with the maintenance team.

Responsible for cleanliness & housekeeping of the production machinery and surrounding area.

Start up, operate, and shut down production line and all equipment in your area.

Look for opportunities to improve current operations.

Able to perform job requirements with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication ability to interact with others in a professional manner.

Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.

Energetic and personable demeanor, be self-motivated.

Flexible and dedicated to doing what it takes to get the job done.

Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management

Training in various entry-level production positions to fill in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands.

Be able to fully understand the operations and process for one or more of the key positions and train new hires.

Be able to assist your line leader/ manager for production quality assurance.

Requirements

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and have at least 3 years of heavy machine operating experience.

Bachelor's degree or higher.

Ability to work rotating shifts, including morning, evening, weekends and/or Holidays.

Previous manufacturing/warehouse experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization.

Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions given in written or oral form.
