**Warehouse- Day Shift**
20-Portland Portland, Oregon Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **$16.00/hr** WPX is hiring for a full-time warehouse worker in our Portland, OR hub, day shift, working Monday through Thursday with occasional weekends. Shift starts at 10:30AM on Mon-Thu, and 12PM on Fridays.

**Job Description**
SUMMARY
The warehouse worker is responsible for safely, efficiently and accurately receiving, recording, sorting, shelving, storing, picking, packing, and/or stacking, inbound and outbound freight. Workers must be able to stand on their feet for hours at a time, bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, pull, lift and carry 50 pounds continuously.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Safely and efficiently receive freight
* Accurately sort freight to appropriate destination in a time sensitive situation
* Shelve and store freight and maintain accurate records
* Pick and pack freight for shipment
* Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly manner
* Establish and maintain courteous business relationships with drivers, customers, clients and co-workers
* Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed, professional appearance including proper uniform
* Maintain excellent work habits including attendance, punctuality and safety
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
* Perform other duties as required
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Able to stand on feet on cement floor for up to eight (8) hours per day
* Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds repetitively
* Able to repetitively climb and descend stairs and ladders
* Clearly read, write, speak and understand English without an interpreter
* Able to count to 200, add, subtract, multiply and divide in whole numbers and fractions
* Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
* Must be at least 18 years old
* If hired, must be able to:
- pass a drug test prior to first day of work
- pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record prior to first day of work
- prove eligibility to work in the United States
- pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment
