The Event Coordinator is a bridge between Event Managers and guests planning both events and guestroom blocks within the hotel. This includes, but is not limited to, corporate meetings, association conferences, non-profit galas, citywide conventions, weddings, and holiday parties. The Event Coordinator requires high attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow within events.

Responsibilities include:

* Administrative support to the Event Sales and Planning Team

* Organizing internal bookings

* Conducting hotel tours

* Answering phones while in the office and providing guidance to clients on behalf of Event Sales and Planning Team

* Assisting Event Managers with incoming leads

* Effective management of small guestroom blocks including the understanding of groups history and pick up performance with guidance from managers

* Prepare group resumes and event orders

* Positive collaboration with hotel departments and vendors

* Educating customers about Hyatts planner technology

* In-person customer point of contact during event execution

* Actively identifying and recommending ways to enhance the attendee experience

* Post event bill review and history reports

* Generating reports

**Qualifications**

* A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment while carrying positive attitude and living Hyatts values and mission.

* Team oriented individual able to adapt to an ever-changing hospitality and event industry

* Prior experience in Banquet Operations & Wedding Planning in a hotel setting preferred

* History of superior customer service satisfaction

* Proficiency desired in Envision Sales Suite, Opera, Social Tables, Sertifi, Hyatt Planner Portal, Microsoft Office.

* Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast-paced environment

* Willingness to learn tasks in other departments in order to assist during busy times

* Refined verbal and written communication skills

* Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills

The starting rate for this position is $19.00/ hr. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
