Job Summary:
The shipping / Receiving clerk has the responsibility for ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented and accounted for. Shipping / Receiving Clerk will prepare the necessary documentation for shipments in accordance with current laws and regulations. Shipping / Receiving Clerk will maintain all documentation related to shipments/receipts including production orders while at an outsourcing operation. Shipping / Receiving Clerk will process incoming deliveries and deliver required items as necessary to their locations. Shipping / Receiving Clerk will maintain WPO and 5s activities of shipping / receiving dock area to maintain control, organization and flow of material inbound and outbound for the facility.
Essential Functions:
* ACCOUNTABILITY Estimated % of total job time
* Ensure and promote safe, healthy, and environmentally sound working conditions. All the Time
* Manage incoming shipments Process receipts for UPS, outsourcing vendors, and general deliveries Receive and unpack interplant deliveries Receive packaging materials and put to storage locations Receive MODs and move to first manufacturing operation Receive Reconditioning work and move to RECON area 60%
* Manage outgoing shipments Create Bill of Ladings for outgoing shipments as necessary Process outgoing shipments in UPS or other related systems. This includes physically weighing, packaging, sealing, and palletizing boxes for shipments. 25%
* Performs other essential functions. Monitor / Order labels, packing, and other shipping supplies Performs production operations as needed Responsible for maintaining and ensuring workplace organization programs (5S, WPO, MBS, TPM, ISO compliance and EHS programs) are adhered to for the assigned area Load and unload trucks Other duties as assigned. 10%
* Backup support for shipper functions Perform functions in MRP/ERP system required to process shipments to customers. Performs job duties in accordance with area work instructions. 5%
****This is a 2nd Shift role from 2:45pm 11:00pm**
