Employment Type:Full timeShift:Evening ShiftDescription:The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions for Mercy and Providence Hospitals.Position PurposeThe Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions for Mercy Medical Center.What you will doVerifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefitsResponsible for upfront collections, co-pays and high deductiblesEnsures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate. Collects non-covered feesInterviews all patients to obtain demographic and financial information, inputs data into Meditech system. Identifies party that can legally authorize services.
