**Experienced Skilled Painter**

**Summit Reconstruction** is currently hiring for an **Experienced Skilled Painter** for both interior and exterior work within the Portland Metro/Vancouver area. Our **Experienced Skilled Painters** work on commercial buildings, large apartment and condo complexes, and private homes. We offer a **competitive wage** starting at **$18-24 with many opportunities to grow in the company**
**Skilled Painter Responsibilities:**
* Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
* Surface Preparation:
* Pressure wash all surfaces to remove dirt, debris.
* Scrape loose / peeling paint.
* Reset popped nails.
* Priming all materials and surfaces.
* Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
* Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
* Apply varnish and other fine finishes.
* Drywall installation and finishing is a plus.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
* Positive attitude, team-player, and great attention to detail.
* Hardworking & skilled in interior and exterior painting. Proven experience as a painter.
* Must be willing to climb and work from ladders, scaffold, planks & roofs when required.
* Safety conscious.
* Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
* Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.).
* Must be dependable and reliable.
