About the job Field Installation Technician

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Electrician or construction background

Candidates MUST be willing to travel and ok with driving- all expenses covered

Must be familiar and comfortable with pulling cable, drilling, electro-mechanical skills, wire wrapping.

Must have at least 3-7 years of experience.

Must have experience:

  • Serving as the Installation Suppliers in-charge person.
  • Supervising multiple sites in a thorough manner.
  • Managing inventory of material and equipment for each assigned project.
  • Keeping Project Management team and all customer stakeholders updated on project as requested.
  • Accurately track all time and expenses and submit using approved methods on a timely basis.
  • Being responsible for timely job completion within budgeted man hours.
  • Being able to identify, communicate and facilitate resolution of job issues (e.g. manpower, material, engineering, technical support, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • With direct supervision and on-the-job training of field personnel.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and assignments.
  • With mentoring lower level installation technicians.
  • Enforcing of corporate and divisional policies.

JOB SUMMARY:

We have a client seeking a Field Installation Technician who fully understands and implements customer's standards of safety, installation quality, processes, and communication methods. The candidate must:

Understand and enforce standards of professionalism, quality, safety, metrics, and processes. Adhere to policies, procedures and directives.

Maintains positive relations with Customers.

Understand and comply with installer task descriptions and restrictions as defined within Telcordia GR-1275-CORE. Responsible for team tool kit and team van (including proper appearance and maintenance of van).

Escalate any issues to your immediate Supervisor for assistance with resolution.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
