Welder
Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working welder to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston.
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
- Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
- Overtime available Monday-Saturday
- Double time available Sunday
Responsibilities: - Stick welding (SMAW) capability is essential; aluminum MIG and stainless steel TIG welding capabilities are beneficial but not required
- Working from heights
- Working from scissor and boom lifts
- Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
- Climbing ladders
- Heavy lifting
Requirements - Pre-employment drug test
- Respirator fit test and physical
- Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
