Headquartered in Orange County, California, HHI has a global sales force and operates manufacturing and distribution facilities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Asia.**Job Summary**Responsible for leading a group of employees to accomplish the departments goals and objectives. Assist the Warehouse Manager with a variety of tasks related to the warehouse, including employee training, employee issues, safety, warehouse records, etc. This includes organizing the workload for the area, assigning each employees task for the shift, and ensuring the areas standards for safety, productivity, and quality are being met on a daily basis.**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**(80%) Warehouse Leader* Based on the direction received by management, executes the plan and objectives for the area for the day with the available manpower and equipment.* Drives the safety culture of Tell by conducting monthly audits of warehouse areas, ensuring floor associates adhere to all safety rules and protocols.* Provides guidance and direction for employees in the area, including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and resolving problems.* Participates in developing department goals, objectives and processes.* Works to establish a high degree of mutual trust and respect between employees, departments, and management. Encourages collaboration and teamwork.* Identifies root-cause for warehouse issues, and assist in implementing and sustaining appropriate corrective action* Ensures excellent communication with employees. Communicates regularly with supervisors and management. Acts as liaison between employees and management.* Continuously monitors warehouse operations to ensure that all work requirements and customer needs are being met.* Works closely with Management, Facilities, and Maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is in safe, working order.* Works to establish collaborative relationships with all levels at the facility.* Assists in delivering timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, focused recognition for good work and ideas, etc.(20%) Reporting/Continuous Improvement* Complete various end of shift reports* Work on special projects as assigned by manager.* Continuously monitors and maintain reporting of standards of performance at the employee and department level.* Participates in continuous improvement processes throughout the facility.* Recommends measures to improve warehouse methods, equipment performance, and quality of product* Other duties as required**Education and Experience Profile*** Experience in a lead and/or supervisory role in a warehouse preferred* High School Diploma or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience* Associates Degree a plus**Required Skills*** An intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence* Good hand-eye coordination.* Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours as required.* Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.**Work Environment**This job operates in a warehouse environment. The incumbent will be expected to work the majority of time in a warehouse environment.
