Full time / Ruth s Table / San Francisco, CA / $80,000 - 85,000 annually

Ruth s Table (RT) is an arts nonprofit program and gallery space committed to increasing access to creative opportunities for older adults and adults with disabilities, providing an inclusive environment for creative expression and intergenerational dialogue. RT offers a dynamic combination of gallery exhibitions, workshops, and creative community initiatives. We are passionate about relationship building and deeply committed to fostering the powerful impacts of creativity.

RT is a community service of Front Porch. Front Porch is a nonprofit provider of housing and services. We create community. It s at the heart of all we do. RT shares a physical site with Bethany Center, a Front Porch senior living community. The RT Director reports to the Senior Director of Creative Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaboratively shape vision for inspiring, accessible, replicable programming
  • Collaboratively set and achieve annual program goals
  • Oversee program and site operations, ensuring daily activities support org mission and program goals
  • Manage, plan and co-curate rotating exhibition program and related programming
  • Supervise the program manager, including providing regular 1:1 supervision, team meetings, and professional development opportunities
  • Creatively source and implement local outreach opportunities
  • Strategically cultivate relationships with Bethany Center staff/residents, local organizations, and community members
  • Implement special projects to support program development
  • Create replicable program and communication materials
  • Continually seek opportunities to strengthen and/or expand the program and its impact
  • Meet with supervisor on a regular basis to discuss progress, issues, and future plans
  • Assist in prospecting funding and sponsorship opportunities
  • Assist with evaluating and reporting program impact
  • Contribute to the budgeting process as needed
  • Contribute to grant writing and reporting, and sponsorship proposals as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6+ years of managing staff and developing community-based programming
  • Experience managing arts-based programming a plus
  • Bi-lingual fluency either in Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus
  • Ability to work full-time with some weekends and evenings as needed
  • Some travel may be required
  • Gallery environment involves both indoor and outdoor working conditions
