**Description**
Eventide Fargo Care Center and Senior Living are currently seeking a full time **Housekeeper / Floor Care Assistant** to work 80 hours per pay period. Hours are **7:00a to 3:30p**.
No weekends or holiday rotation!
This position will perform housekeeping duties and ensure a safe and clean environment for the residents, families, and staff by following accepted policies and procedures as outlined by Eventide. Clean and maintain various types of floor surfaces for the facility and ensure a safe and clean environment for the residents, families, visitors, and staff while following established policies and procedures as outlined by Eventide.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
* Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common resident/tenant areas, staff work areas and other common areas used by staff and visitors.
* Perform cleaning procedures such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows and walls, polishing and scrubbing.
* Ensure that all work areas and carts are kept safe, neat, and secure.
* Apply infection control and department and facility policies and procedures that directly affect housekeeping duties.
* Follow all safety rules when using equipment and chemicals and report unsafe work areas to a supervisor.
* Maintain a positive relationship with residents/tenants, families, and other staff.
* Re-stock housekeeping carts, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet tissue dispensers throughout the campus.
* Keep all equipment clean, locked as indicated, and in a safe manner, as work dictates.
* Assist with dining room clean-up process as needed.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
* Performs cleaning of hard floors by sweeping, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing within the buildings..
* Performs cleaning of carpeted floors by vacuuming, shampooing, and spot removal within the buildings.
* Use of floor care equipment such as floor scrubber, vacuum, high and low speed buffer, carpet extractor, carpet sweeper, carpet rider, and high pressure washer are necessary.
* Properly maintains floor care equipment and inventory of supplies.
* Determine proper chemicals and methods needed by evaluating the surface and/or spot.
* Monitors floors for wear and report to supervisor as needed.
* Follows all safety regulations and rules when using equipment and chemicals.
* Assists with maintaining floor care records.
* Assists with room discharge cleanings and supports housekeeping duties as needed.
* Attends necessary training as deemed necessary by supervisor to keep floor care skills current.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
