To learn more about Berry, visit Position Summary: The Team Leader ensures that a quality print department is being maintained and will lead by example. This position will have some supervisory responsibilities which will ensure that print associates work safely, efficiently and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement. The Printing Team Leader will standard color charts and sample containers to verify print comparisons. Additionally, this position will be responsible for starting and stopping presses and overseeing quality control of products. Responsibilities KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the Print Manager to set up presses for quality print jobs to match customer order specifications and ensure production schedules are met timely. Promptly correct machinery malfunctions and notify the Print Manager. Oversees the starting and stopping of presses, housekeeping, catching, stacking the floor, cleaning and quality control. Utilize customer color standard charts and sample containers for color and print comparison. Lubricate and replace any missing parts. Clean dryer parts, presses and fountians. Will nofigy the Print Manager of production, scrap and fill out any documentation and production reports. Qualifications REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); vocational school; demonstrated mechanical ability. Two or more years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Good hand-eye coordination is essential. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds. Required to regulary push or pull a pallet jack with 1500 pound loads. Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally in outside weather conditions. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Give clear, concise, understandable instructions to employees. Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fraction and decimals. Read a ruler to 1/32d and 1/64th of an inch.
