Job Overview:


The Parts Manager at B&H will manage all parts associated with conveyors, sorters, machines, and housekeeping supplies in a central parts area. S/he will be monitoring and upkeeping inventory counts through an inventory system and work with Central Purchasing in a timely fashion, when inventory levels require it.


Essential Responsibilities:


+ Key role in building out new parts room concept with an inventory of up to 5,000 parts.


+ Conducts cycle counts and daily audits of existing parts to ensure accurate inventory and adjusts as necessary with a focus on designated min-max quantities.


+ Listens and communicates with internal customers by phone, radio, messaging apps, or in person to determine the nature of the required parts and solution.


+ Consults computerized books, manufacturers catalogs, and stock records to determine minimum and maximum inventory quantities.


+ Works closely with Central Purchasing to ensure most cost and time efficient sourcing of parts.


+ Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.


+ Transacts requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and transfers following established procedures.


Completes paperwork for accounting of supplies. Reconciles receiving discrepancies and provides Manager updates.


Additional Responsibilities:


Coordinates and communicates with other warehouse personnel as needed.


Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


+ Experience in parts management and familiarity with parts associated with, but not limited to, conveyors, sorters, HVAC, compressors, WAV machines, trash compactors, and cleaning supplies.


+ Working knowledge of systems such as Hytrol, FMH, Century, Crown (WAV), to support mechanics in correct parts distribution.


+ Mechanical knowledge, parts distribution software, Inventory management.


MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). CMMS experience such as Fiix or similar.


Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:


+ HS diploma required. Preferred education focused on technical trade.


Minimum 3-5 years of parts and/or mechanic experience in a large distribution environment.


Physical Environment/Occupational Risks
