Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Civil/Site team in our growing Clinton, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
- Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in land development
- Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria
- Design complete projects, systems, components or processes
- Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy
- Prepare complete project documents
- Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems
- Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments
- Assist with proposal development for professional services
- Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff
- Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work
- Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments
- Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines
- Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- PE preferred
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related software packages, as applicable
- Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge and acumen (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to effectively work as part of a team (i.e.., collaborate, contribute, respect others)
- Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge
- Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices
- Demonstrate advanced investigative, analytical and research skills
- Demonstrate basic speaking skills to communicate general technical ideas, concepts and information to a technical and nontechnical audience
- Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both oral and written for the purpose of client, contractor and co-worker interactions
