The Senior Director of Merchandise Systems, Infrastructure, and Business Intelligence is responsible for the leadership, direction, and successful achievement of several key technology areas that effectively support the profitable growth of the Lilly Pulitzer business.
Key functions within the department include systems architecture, merchandise systems application development and management, infrastructure, operations and business intelligence. The Senior Director will be responsible for modernizing the current system architecture to appropriately support future business objectives and growth. The role will also drive the Brands continued cloud first strategy.
Significant systems of focus include:
- ERP
- Product Lifecycle Management
-Warehouse Management System
-Planning and Allocation
-Purchase Order Management
The Senior Director of Merchandise Systems, Infrastructure, and Business Intelligence will work closely with the leadership team to develop and maintain technology solutions to achieve long-term, strategic business outcomes for the Lilly Pulitzer brand. The role is key in developing opportunities for improvement of the technology landscape by focusing on improved business performance and maximized profitability.
The role must collaborate with the Customer Systems team, which leads and oversees the architecture, development, and roadmap for the companys customer-facing, omnichannel systems (e.g., E-Commerce, Retail Stores point of sale, Order Management) in order to drive overall technology optimization across the enterprise. This includes key integrations across systems.
The Senior Director of Merchandise Systems, Infrastructure, and Business Intelligence must be a leader and operate in an upbeat manner with a team-oriented approach. The Senior Director must ensure that in-house personnel, third party solutions providers and sub-contractors are properly aligned, motivated and trained.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
* A four-year college degree is required. This must be in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or a related discipline;
* 10-15 years of experience in enterprise systems and date architecture(s) and design;
* Minimum of 10 years experience serving in a senior developer or architect role for a multi-channel retailer, preferably a retailer that develops apparel in-house as well;
* Minimum of 5 years experience working with multiple system integrations utilizing enterprise service bus technology (Mulesoft experience is a plus);
* Extensive technical and architectural leadership experience in the design and development of distributed object orientated solutions on multiple platforms;
* Experience implementing large scale systems using enterprise languages;
* Strong experience with large, high performing retail systems and models including product catalog, business intelligence, finance, supply chain and payment processing;
* Experience with modern merchandising and product development solutions and the specific enterprise applications that make up the retail vertical stack (ERP, WMS, PLM).
* Experience with Manhattan WMS and Centric PLM are a plus.
**MISCELLANEOUS:**
* This position is classified as full-time salaried; it is exempt and is not eligible for overtime. This position is eligible for standard company fringe benefits;
* This position may require some limited travel domestically;
* Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods;
* This position is reviewed annually.
