The Maintenance Apprentice will perform a variety of tasks to inspect, install, repair, and maintain all manufacturing equipment and the buildings per the guidance and instruction of the Journeymen while maintaining Lozier's quality and safety standards. The individual will work on mechanical, air, hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical equipment, as well as building or modifying equipment. This will be accomplished by operating various hand tools, power hand tools and tool-room machinery. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn for this position.
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, constant hand usage; and frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, crouching, and elevated reaching.
Two years prior Multi-Craft Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required for this position, specifically experience in electromechanical repairs, welding, hydraulic troubleshooting, blueprint reading, pneumatics, relay logic and PLC's. A two-year technical degree and/or industrial electrical experience is a plus. The individual must possess a good attendance record; have good communication skills, both written and oral; and have the ability to work independently or with a team.
