Responsibilities Summary: Inspect product quality within the molding and printing, ensure that product inspection and quality control procedures are carried through our process to meet customer specifications by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following but not limited to other duties that may be assigned. Follows and understands Plant Safety Policies Follow Quality Absolutes Complete monthly safety near miss and observation Complete Skid Scanner (CP#4) and Metal Detector (CP#1) verification checks Complete Vision Checks Completed Line Clearance and IML label Changes (CP#3) Communicate quality issues discovered to the other shifts. Complete NCMR's when needed. Complete core shift on startup molds Verify resin at start-up Perform Open Force Test (Nice Pak) Check cycle times of molding machines which are running. Pick up a complete shot of parts off of each molding press that is running. Check the colors using the Densitometer, color chips and signed samples from customer. Check the jobs on the molding floor and document findings. Attribute Checks (CQP#2) Notify molders and Supervisor/Manager of defects and size problems on molded parts. Weigh molding parts and document findings. Perform a squeeze test and lid fit test if applicable. Making/Issuing Label, Travelers, and Job Sheets to machines. Understand the importance of ISO, GMP's, HACCP and Food Safety Program. Authority to stop a press due to a safety/quality issue. Authority to place product on hold when product is suspect or nonconforming and determine clean point. Authority to escalate NCMR's up to Management. Any special tasks as assigned by Quality Manager. Quality Inspectors may be assigned across machines or functional areas of manufacturing and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
