TITLE: Warehouse Technician DEPARTMENT: Warehouse REPORTS To: Terminal Manager Classification: Regular- Fulltime, Non-Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Warehouse Technician will be tasked with daily warehouse duties such as loading and unloading of drums, shipping and receiving documents and Transfer Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDF) scheduling and product inventory. This position is also responsible for shipping and receiving operations consisting of document processing, unloading and assisting in maintaining certain tank inventories, sampling and testing of loads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.

1. Familiar with the Facilitys Permit and Operations Plan and be knowledgeable in the types of waste the facility may receive and where they are stored.

2. Reviews shipping documents prior to receiving wastes.

3. Samples all incoming waste shipments.

4. Performs the required analysis in accordance with the facilitys waste analysis plan and records the results.

5. Transfers drums and bulk containers into appropriate tanks and/or trucks using stationary or portable engine pumps.

6. Performs daily and weekly inspections, including tank/wastes inventory.

7. Responsible to forward and receive Shipping & Receiving data/logs and manifests to and from the Compliance Assistant in a timely manner.

8. Maintains copies of the shipping and receiving logs on site

9. Responsible to maintain supplies such as test equipment/kits, sample containers, labels to perform waste analysis, spill kit supplies, PPEs, eye wash solution.

10. Responsible to ensure visitors comply with safety procedures.

11. Keeps work areas clean.

12. Cleans spills/leaks and places residues in appropriate receptacle.

13. Responsible to secure/lock the facility prior to leaving.

14. Reports any and all TSDF operations problems immediately to the Terminal Manager.

15. Occasional delivery/service in Class C vehicle to customer locations and movement of vehicles within terminal yard.

16. Must be knowledgeable in and is responsible for implementing the following procedures when necessary:

WASTE & MATERIAL HANDLING

Operate warehouse forklift and various forklift attachments.

Operate Battery-Powered Pallet Truck.

Drum Truck (drum dolly).

Pallet Truck (pallet jack).

Propane cylinder re-fills.

Forklift daily inspection prior to use.

Load & unload waste & material manually or with forklift.

Provide daily assistance to Antifreeze drivers with pumping/transferring of new antifreeze from 275gl totes into tanker trucks.

Provide daily assistance to Field Service & Container drivers with loading/off-loading of waste, equipment and supplies.

Aid customer will call orders from dispatch.

Pack & assemble antifreeze/coolant product for fleet use and sales order.

Pack & assemble spill kit product for fleet use and sales order.

Pack & assemble parts washing solvent for sales order.

Inventory & repair parts washer pump and heater assembly.

Palletize and secure new product drums for shipment.

Consolidate/transfer Asbury warehouse waste into Cubic Yard Boxes.

Assist various WOES departments with support in file storage.

Supply inventory and record keeping.

HAZ WASTE CONTAINER PREP & QUALITY CONTROL

Q.C. HAZ WASTE drums received for leaks, dents, bulging and proper shipping labels.

Perform over packing procedures on drums when necessary.

Check drum labeling and shipping document information for errors.

Clean and prepare hazardous waste drums for TSDFs shipment.

Follow Hazardous Material segregation chart prior to loading truck/trailer.

TSDF shipment scheduling.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two Five years related labor or warehouse experience and/or training.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

24 HOUR HAZWOPER TRAINING, 8 HOUR ANNUAL REFRESHER HAZWOPER TRAINING, CONFINED SPACE TRAINING, FORKLIFT OPERATOR, CALIFORNIA C LICENSE
