We have a great opportunity for an Inventory Specialist III to join our SI Aero Services team in San Angelo, TX.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for:

* Planning and controlling inventory levels to meet project and production requirements.

* Maintains centralized document control center for all accountable transactions and total visibility of assets. Maintains input to inventory systems.

* Reviews and analyzes requirements and inventory levels and generates purchase requisitions as required.

* Coordinates transfer of stock, tracks shortages, and expedites as required.

* Coordinates with purchasing, production planning, and the warehouse to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.

* Coordinates with contracts on project transfers and approvals, with engineering on obsolescence and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes, and with manufacturing on status of out-of-stock situation

* Reviews, evaluates, and approves transfers of stock.

* Review material requirements and develops/implements inventory management practices to ensure projects and production requirements are met and promptly processed.

* Ensures all material and equipment are properly stored and accounted for, that shortages are highlighted and placed on backorder.

* Conduct and/or coordinate physical inventories and reporting their completion.

* Reviews cycle count results and resolves inventory discrepancies in support of end of contract inventory close out.

* Plan and coordinate the shipment of standard and non-standard hazardous material (HAZMAT) in support of mission requirements.

* Performs duties as specified in the CBP UAS Annual Inventory Procedures

* Uses the Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) system to produce load plans which meet deployment supply requirements.

****Job Qualifications:****

* Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five or more years of related experience in inventory management and control. Additional education may be substituted in lieu of experience.

* Must have a detailed understanding of inventory planning and control concepts and principles and a working knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems and MRP.

* Must be able to successfully complete the customer required Department of Homeland Security background investigation required to access the aircraft maintenance and sustainment data base.

* Must be customer focused and possess:

+ The ability to identify and analyze complex issues and interpret data

+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with all levels of internal employees and to accurately document and report

+ General knowledge of computer operations, applications, word processing, and spreadsheets. The ability to work both independently and in a team, environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
