****About the Unit****
The Logistics and Planning team is a segment of the North America Supply Chain operating in US and Canada.. The team provides support to the Ag, Industrial and Ammonia Trade and Shipping segments and is responsible for the supply planning, sourcing, logistics, and timely delivery of goods to units warehouses and customers.
The Domestic Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory levels of the business units inland warehouses to meet sales forecasts and customer demand. This position will collaborate and partner with internal teams to optimize inventory levels to meet demand and achieve financial goals. This position is also responsible for monitoring/managing inventory levels, evaluating sales forecasts, directing transfers of inventory to meet demands, and developing solutions to maintain optimal inventory levels at the inland locations.
****Responsibilities****
* Analyze and manage inventory levels at inland warehouses to meet demand.
* Assist in tracking vessel arrivals and compare to current sales and forecasts to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
* Identify low inventory and/or containment issues and provide solutions to resolve.
* Communicate needs and work closely with BU Planner(s) to facilitate efforts to implement solution(s).
* Collaborate with the Business Unit Planner(s), Product Positioning Specialist, Liquid CN Commercial Coordinator, Sales Support and Transportation to communicate needs, coordinate movements, and follow up/track to ensure movements are carried out in timely manner to maintain supply to support the business.
* Take the lead in any inventory movements required, utilizing Sales Support, Transportation, and other areas as needed to resolve.
* Backup to the BU Planner and YaraVita Planner as needed.
* Participate in/and or lead ad hoc projects providing information and analysis as requested.
* Develop, maintain and distribute monthly reports.
* Participate in the monthly inventory planning meetings.
****Profile****
* Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent experience preferred
* Minimum 3 years of experience preferably with SAP and project coordination
* Inventory planning background preferred
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Detail oriented
* Proven multi-tasking and organizational skills
* Collaborative style (across team/multiple teams and remote management)
* Proficient in MS Office applications
