19.88 - 25.00 USD Per Hour
Working Location:
San Leandro, CA (In-person position)
Working Hours/Shift:
AM shift- flexible hours

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
  • Support Counselor I: High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience; OR Associates degree plus 1 year of experience
  • Support Counselor II: Associates degree plus 2 years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of experience; OR Master's degree plus no experience
  • Support Counselor III: Associates degree plus 3 years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience; OR Master's degree plus 1 year of experience
  • Degrees and experience must be in a related field (e.g., behavioral health, social services, juvenile probation/criminal justice)
  • Valid California Driver's License


How you will make a difference (job overview):

The Rehab Specialist / Support Counselor has primary responsibility for mental health services and case management services to clients and their families within Stars Community Services.

Division/Program Overview:
  • School based outpatient program
  • Provide services at designated school sites and in the community year round
  • Services offered: Individual, family and group therapy, parent support groups, case management, collaboration with school staff
  • Serve youth ages 5-18
  • Services offered are trauma informed and culturally responsive
