As a Master Scheduler, you play a pivotal role in orchestrating and enhancing production schedules, programs, and task control policies. Your hands-on approach directly impacts the success of our internal teams. In this dynamic position, you'll not only develop and measure progress through metrics and tangible goals but also enforce policies that drive organizational excellence. Your primary responsibility is to monitor scheduling implementation, identifying opportunities for future improvements and evaluating successes to streamline processes further.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand and production targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing business workflows, and seeking efficiencies in manufacturing processes.
  • Distribute schedules to staff, ensure full visibility on schedule platforms, and conduct QA checks.
  • Collaborate with various departments, especially information technology workers, to develop computer applications for schedule management. Serve as the primary contact and liaison with sales, project management, logistics, and production departments.
  • Balance production capacity with customer requirements, provide capacity planning for existing backlog and future work, and incorporate change order management into the schedule.
  • Collaborate with departments to establish schedules aligning with customer needs. Coordinate with sales and engineering on product lead times. Maintain the master distribution schedule, revising as needed, and alerting staff of changes or delays.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and other departments to align schedules with available resources. Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, resource availability, and other factors.
  • Conduct product-specific production and load meetings for alignment between business units and the factory. Provide regular reports and analysis to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Implement best practices in production scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce lead times. Analyze shop floor data, develop metrics for daily performance management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, professional certification, and 5-10 years experience as a Master Scheduler in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Superb computer competence, including database management, advanced use of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products.
  • Strong background with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with a high degree of technical aptitude.
  • Management Skills: Management skills related to organizing self and others, great planning and project management skills.
  • Team player, highly disciplined, problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
  • Organized, meticulous, driven by excellence, and unwilling to settle for anything but the best.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment producing custom products is a plus.
