Job Requirements
Electrical Maintenance technician in automotive manufacturing facility. Position will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, pumps, material handling equipment, blending/mixing systems, stamping presses, robotic equipment, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
* Complete work orders in a timely manner to the highest quality standards.
* Daily reporting of all work performed - effective shift pass downs and log book entries.
* Confers with engineering staff to coordinate activities of individual departments.
* Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
* Generate parts request and help to maintain adequate inventory organization and help maintain accurate stock status
* Maintains safe and clean working environment at all times
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Mechanical Skills (including but not limited to):
Electrical Skills (including but not limited to):
* Industrial electrical experience along with the ability to diagnose/install electrical motors, drives, and controls.
* Must have strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC"s and HMI"s.
* Must be able to read, write, and troubleshoot ladder logic.
* Install all types of wiring, main service drops, and 480 volt 3 phase systems.
* Must be able to read electric schematics and have knowledge of the National Electric Code.
Additional Skills Required:
* Familiar with Six Sigma and 5S work practices.
* PC proficient using MS Office.
* Capable of working without direct supervision, capable of following verbal and written instructions with minimum supervision.
Ability to work independently as well as efficiently in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High school (required).
* Industrial maintenance Associates degree Preferred
* 2 years experience in a production manufacturing environment Preferred
* Must be able to complete forklift and man lift certifications
* Electrical engineering: 2 years (Preferred)
