**Position Summary** Position is responsible for assisting customers both in person and by telephone as to the status of their account(s), answering their questions and assisting them with payment options or financial assistance. The representative will take credit card payments via phone, establish and maintain guarantor payment plans. The representative is expected to explain insurance payments and adjustments, why the balance is due, denied reasons, with ability to resolve complaints. Must have ability to make fair and accurate decisions with moderate assistance from Managerial staff. The position will adhere to all HIPPA privacy and 501r regulations while performing their duties. This position spends the majority of time sitting (up to 60% of the work time) while performing repetitive type actions (using McKesson STAR financial system, CUBS financial system, Microsoft Office, 10 key calculator, and phone).

**Licenses/Certifications Required** N/A

**Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required** Good communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to operate equipment and electronic submission of claims. Completion of high school studies is required. Knowledge of insurance and hospital billing operations as demonstrated by one year of previous experience is required. Bilingual preferred.
