Job Details

The Traffic Attendant maintains the flow of traffic in a safe and efficient manner while utilizing hang signals or other methods of communication to direct vehicle activity and promote a safe environment.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Completed a Flagging Certification Course

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
Recertified every two years per certification

Experience REQUIRED:
Previous experience working as a flagger

Experience PREFERRED:
I year experience

Education/training REQUIRED: I year experience

Education/training PREFERRED: N/A

Independent action(s) required:
Must be able to conduct traffic control with little or no supervision during the course of a day

Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/A

Additional position requirements:
Expected to work in all types of weather
