$17.00/hr minimum - $23.80/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

The medical receptionist will promptly greet and assist patients, families, and other guests in a professional, positive, and caring manner through in-person, online, and telephone interactions.


Safety

  • Manages processes effectively regarding employee/patient safety.

Record Keeping

  • Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files, and other documents as required.

Process Improvement

  • Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department-based programs that supports the systems process improvement goals.
  • Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate quality communication skills between the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written, verbal, observation, and empathy skills.
  • Rooms the patient and documents required and updated clinical information in the electronic medical record following policy and procedures for process.
  • Demonstrates completed competency for accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR and patient care following scope of clinical role outlined in policy.
  • Follows office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Licenses and Certification

  • Current BLS certification; BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
  • Certified Nurses Aid certification preferred

Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience: 1 year of clinical office experience preferred. Ability to perform manual blood pressure required.
  • Customer Service: 1 year of customer service experience preferred
