Location Located in beautiful Northwestern Connecticut, Canaan Family YMCA has an opening for a full-time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. Job Description Responsible for monitoring swimmers and class participants in our indoor pool.
Teach lessons to adults and youth.
Have current Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification.
Qualifications * Current Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification.
* Previous swimming experience.
* Must be responsible, enthusiastic and able to work with children and adults.
* Minimum age 18.
Essential Functions * Test pool water, clean up pool deck & pool.
* Responsible for monitoring swimmers and class participants in our indoor pool.
* Ensure safe conditions for all participants.
* Maintenance of aquatics sports equipment.
* Learn membership/class registration program.
* Assist Member Services by covering breaks and staff shortages.
* Must be able to work alone & be responsible to do a quality job.
* Must be able to communicate effectively while demonstrating Y Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
