Description
Essential Job Requirements:
- Responsible for ability to perform total and accurate cycle counts:
- Physical counts
- System analysis and maintenance (AX)
- Reconciling Inventory
- Root Cause analysis for discrepancies
- Monitor production/inventory flow to identify process issues affecting inventory.
- Assist Director of Global Supply Chain in ensuring physical placement of inventory is: accurate to system information, consolidated to reduce warehousing constraints, neat/orderly to avoid issues regarding timing of locating parts and safety concerns.
- Monitor system utilization to identify process issues affecting inventory.
- Utilize current manufacturing techniques (such as Lean Manufacturing or Quick Response Manufacturing) as adopted by the company to assist in promoting inventory accuracy.
- Maintain locations including determining appropriate size, placement of materials, AX maintenance.
- Assist in quarantine and disposition of non-conforming materials including preparing materials to be returned to suppliers, returning quarantined materials to stock, and locating customer returns to stock as applicable.
Requirements
- Must have existing knowledge of production flow, basic purchasing, and planning/scheduling practices. Thorough knowledge of balancing/reconciling inventory transactions.
- Must be able to perform process audits in an impartial manner.
- Requires ability to utilize current manufacturing system, basic spreadsheet creation/utilization, and other computer-based systems.
- Forklift certification required.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of all policies, procedures, documentation companywide that affect inventory.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management for all departments.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others; verbal and written.
- Must be relatively self-sufficient, independent, and take initiative. Ability to work 'hands-on' as well as utilize analytical processes. This position requires up to 75% root causes analysis which includes an emphasis on computer system utilization.
- Ability to read drawings, and above average mathematical skills.
- Ability to assist in monitoring other employee's use of inventory and transactions.
- Ability to train others on proper application and to perform proper inventory transactions as well as utilization of inventory tools such as the ASR, scanning/barcode system, scales, inventory location systems, etc.
- Ability to pass basic skills test.
- Must have a demonstrated record of excellent attendance.
