**Responsibilities**
Canyon Ridge Hospital is a leading Behavioral Health Facility located in Chino California. The hospital is part of the Universal Health Services Network of Behavioral health facilities. Our Mission is, To be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community.
We are seeking a Full Time Cook. The Cook is responsible for using food service equipment, utensils and supplies in the production and serving of nutritious, quality meals to patients, visitors and staff. Serves food in correct portions during scheduled time frames for meal service. The Cook will directly report to George Wilcox, our Director of Plant Operations.

**PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS**
**Reaching:** Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
**Walking:** Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
**Fingering:** Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
**Grasping:** Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
**Talking:** Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
**Hearing:** Perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40db loss @ Hz, 1,000 Hz and 2,000 Hz with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fin discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
**Repetitive motions:** Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
**Non-Sedentary Work:** Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, moving about in work area and throughout facility to accomplish tasks. Must be able to finger, grasp and feel objects. Work is considered medium in nature requiring occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force and 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Worker may be subject to one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin; fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation. Able to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended period of time. Works around heat and cold as in ovens, steam, refrigerators and freezers.

**Qualifications**
Must be able to concentrate on work amidst distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic; must be able to consistently meet deadlines; and finish all food preparation at specified serving time; must be flexible in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs. Must be able to read and comprehend recipes or instructions on prepackaged products. Ability to read, convert and adjust mathematical measurements for recipe adjustments. Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile customer service interactions. Must be able to adjust recipes to achieve desired results. Must have ability to perform several tasks concurrently. Must have skills in maintaining information as highly confidential. **Food handlers permit required.**
