**Description**

General Description of Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist staff and volunteers to continually be prepared to carry out our mission while adjusting for workload fluctuations. This includes, receiving inventory, staging for deliveries and pickups, quality control, stocking shelves, and warehouse maintenance. Assist with maintaining an adequate supply of items for our clients.. This includes, checking and maintaining inventory, quality control, auditing, and stocking shelves. Will be required to handle individual pieces of furniture and determine the quality of product. Will also assist with the day-to-day operations of GiveABQ, including but not limited to warehouse maintenance, janitorial duties, and responding to customer complaints.

Education and Training: High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year related experience (preferable experience in a warehouse, retail, wholesale setting). Forklift training and/or certification strongly preferred. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers.

Other Requirements: Must pass a background/fingerprint screening and pre-employment drug test. Must have an insurable driving record and must possess a valid NM drivers license and proof of liability insurance, and reliable transportation. Must be able to drive, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder(s) kneel push/pull sit, stand, and lift 50 lbs. continuously. Must have sufficient mobility to visit various locations with little or no notice. Must have sufficient eye/hand coordination to safely and efficiently operate equipment.
