Job Description:

Working with the Business Unit Director, lead the Sauces Category. Develop strategy for the business, be the category expert, lead volume/profit driving, innovation, cost savings and optimization projects with support of the cross-functional team. Gain broad exposure to all functional activities including sales and customers, operations, product development, supply chain, and finance, which results in the development of strong marketing and general management skills.

Position Responsibilities for Assigned Category:Define the short and long-term strategic business plan.Own the P&L. Understand drivers influencing business financials and work towards meeting/exceeding financial plans.Develop and execute objectives to achieve the business goals.Lead and motivate cross-functional team to accomplish new product plans, renovation projects, and simplification efforts that support the business.Be the subject matter expert.Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of category and competitive data.Understand product and competitive strengths and weaknesses.Develop defense strategies as needed.Identify growth opportunities.Leverage consumer insights, IRI and other available data to provide selling stories for key initiatives.Act as the daily primary contact for business guidance, decisions, communication and management.Create category and product presentations.Ensure proper and timely customer communication.Oversee product launches from concept through commercialization including positioning, product and package development, pricing strategy, go-to-market tactics and performance tracking.The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list of all tasks. Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience brand/product management, consumer/category insights, innovation, project management, product development, finance, commercialization and/or supply chain.Skills and Abilities:Must be able to work with minimum supervision once objectives are clear and keep the team posted regularly on relevant updatesEffectively collaborate with and lead cross-functional teamsProject managementProduct development / innovation / commercializationConsumer research and POS data (IRI and/or Nielsen preferred)Financial acumenStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritizeAct with a sense of urgencyAbility to multi-taskFood CPG experience preferred

Education: Bachelor s Degree Required

Master s Degree - highly preferred -- Type: MBA
