Miami Arts Charter School is seeking a math teacher to join our team! We are seeking a talented and motivated educator wishing to share his or her knowledge teaching middle or high school math.

Miami Arts Charter School is located in Miami's exciting Wynwood Arts District and has been operating since 2009. Students are admitted into the school through an application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. We do not have a random lottery selection process.

Responsibilities:

Manage and educate students in a classroom setting
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
Adhere to the established teaching curriculum
Maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Document and share student grades and evaluations
Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

Previous experience in teaching or other educational fields is preferred but not required
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to build rapport with students
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership qualities
State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) or Statement of Eligibility. Qualified candidates who have not yet applied for a Florida teaching certificate but are eligible to do so may be hired as a temporary substitute while the certification process is underway
