We are seeking an Animal Care Attendant for a Fortune 500 Company in St. Paul, MN to join our team immediately.
Hours:
8:00am to 4:30pm
**Please note: Animal Care activities may include weekends**
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide animal care for preclinical animals
* Must be comfortable working with animals
* Responsible for daily maintenance of animal health and husbandry
* Provide enrichment to animals daily including exercise, toys and social housing
* Feed all animals according to department standard operating procedures
* Follow all standard operating procedures and observe safety practices
* Clean all animal housing areas daily and disinfect each housing area weekly to include walls, flooring and feed bins
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the lab
* Responsible for receipt of department deliveries
* Communicate all health status issues immediately to Veterinary Staff
* Document all activities in animal records and forms daily
* May assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians as needed
* Maintain compliance to all quality requirements
Animal Care Attendant Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Animal Care Attendant must have animal experience, large animal experience preferred
* On the job training provided, certification not required
