We are looking for a Dispatcher to join our team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, and excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience is required. We are looking for a candidate who has 2+ years of dispatching experience in the fire protection industry, or similar industry.
This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. This position will work full-time at our Seattle office.
$27-32/hour depending on experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Work with Department Manager, Account Managers, and customers to schedule regular and emergency service calls.
Contact customers regarding upcoming services.
Serve as point of contact for technicians for all appointment-related questions.
Prioritize calls and service requests according to urgency and importance.
Take down detailed and accurate information regarding customer and service location to ensure scheduled appointments are executed seamlessly.
Record accurate customer information and job notes in Servicetrade.
Keep a constant awareness of service area, truck charge maps, and cities by jurisdiction.
Address all customer concerns immediately and report to Department Manager as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma;
2+ years of dispatching and scheduling experience in a related industry;
Proficient in Microsoft programs, Servicetrade, and Building Reports highly preferred;
Ability to be friendly and helpful to all customers over the phone and in-person;
Dependable, reliable, and punctual;
Ability to self-direct and take initiative.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting for most of the day in front of a computer at our office location in Seattle.
Seldom lifting of supplies and equipment weighing 30+ pounds.
