**Schedule:**
Monday-Friday 8:00am- 5:00PM ( or until completion)
**The Inventory Specialist job will involve:**
* Performs research to resolve issues with inventory related to receiving, order selection and shipping
* Perform cycle counts to resolve inventory discrepancies
* Locate and/or relocate product to maximize storage capacities and improve efficiencies
* Ability to work on assigned projects for DC process improvements
* Use computers and RF equipment to investigate inventory deficiencies and provide resolutions that support the DC
* May use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity and accuracy
* Extensive walking and mandatory overtime as needed is required
* Passion around working for a leading healthcare distribution company focused on distributing medical and surgical supplies and equipment to more than 50% of Americas hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities
**Minimum Requirements:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 1 years of inventory, material Handling and order picking experience.
**Critical Skills:**
* Working knowledge of Material Handling issues
* Strong computer skills - WMS knowledge a plus
* Liaison with other departments to resolve inventory related issues
* Strong understanding of material flow within a Distribution Center
* Able to work on multiple tasks and prioritize work based on demand
* Able to work independently and document progress on assigned tasks
* The ability to work the hours listed for this position
* Strong reading, addition and subtraction skills needed to manage order specific documentation
* Work experience in a face-paced, distribution or warehouse environment or stock room strongly preferred, picking/packing, sorting, loading/unloading, scanning, or various other warehouse functions
