About the Role
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician I provides technical support in maintaining FN Logistics manufacturing equipment by troubleshooting equipment, performing assigned preventive maintenance tasks, and assisting with root cause analysis problem solving.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and cleaning of the sorters, conveyors, and packing equipment
- Oversee operations on third party vendors performance
- Leads tech team with troubleshooting and repairing systems during production.
- Helps train lower-level techs
- Cleans and organizes the Maintenance Shop
- Tests equipment to ensure proper operation
- Documents all repairs and work daily, understands and utilizes the information collected to identify areas for improvement utilizing CMMS
- Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. (LOTO, Arc flash,6S)
- Performs facilities duties and other responsibilities as needed
Education/Skills & Experience Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- Flexible work schedule that may include nights and weekends
- 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge. (lacing belts, replacing gearboxes, motors, pulleys, etc.)
- Electrical aptitude and knowledge. (480V3Phase, 120V,24VDC)
- Experience with conveyor and sorter controls (HMI, PLCs, VFDs)
- Troubleshooting skills with bombay sorters and slat boot sorter
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Fabricating and welding skills a plus
- Previous CMMS experience
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Basic computer skills
