POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
The Warehouse Specialist will provide shipping, receiving, delivery, and warehouse facilities support.
- Verify incoming shipments against receiving documents.
- Deliver materials to designated locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage and warehouse processes.
- Perform warehousing duties utilizing pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Maintain shipping, receiving and driver log according to Alutiiq Policy.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
- Prepare and arrange materials and products for distribution or storage; moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material-handling machinery and material handling equipment; to load and move materials.
- Accept delivery of inventory from FedEx, USPS, UPS and other logistics/delivery companies.
- Counting, confirming, and documenting inventory.
- Load and shrink wrapping stock on pallets.
- Vehicle loading, unloading, driving and making deliveries in company delivery vehicle.
- Assist with building and facilities maintenance activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance after hire.
- Two (2) years of warehouse experience to include: performing inventory, staging, stocking, delivering, packing, storage and shipping of equipment.
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
- Working knowledge of common hand tools and power tools.
- Must have good communication and organization skills.
- Must be able to work in a team and as an individual with minimal direction.
- Previous forklift experience is a plus
- An Active Secret Clearance is a plus
